Gaylon T. Beights (President)
Gaylon began his first development company in Dallas Texas at the age of 21. The small company soon expanded and began producing developments in multiple cities-developing over 600 residential establishments and 500,000 square feet of office space per year. In 1990, Gaylon moved his family to Charlottesville, Virginia to establish BEIGHTS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

Gaylon is a multi-disciplinary senior business executive launching and growing successful organizations. Having concurrently managed multiple construction projects and established a solid reputation as a financial and real estate advisor to high-profile individuals, public and corporate investors ranging from private corporations, to universities, to some of the world's wealthiest individuals.

Justin T. Beights (Vice President)
Justin has 11 years experience in all levels of residential and commercial development. He served in management capacities for Kelley Corporation of Dallas, Texas and D&R Development Corporation of Charlottesville. Justin joined BDC full time in 1999 as project manager for residential properties after graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in History.

Preston Moore, Jr. (Vice President)
Preston has over 25 years of commercial real development experience both as a commercial real estate lender for various banks and as a Vice President of Development for Smith Packett Med-Com, a health care related real estate development firm in Roanoke, Virginia. More recently he served as the Senior Vice President of Lending at Albemarle First Bank, Charlottesville, Virginia. Preston joined BDC in July, 2006 to assume the day to day management and development of the Old Trail Community. He received his BA and MBA from the University of Virginia.

John R. Aldridge (CPA)
John is a Certified Public Accountant and Business Advisor with over 30 years of professional experience. He formerly was a Tax Partner with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). John’s management experience also includes CFO positions with three start-up companies, including a successful IPO. Currently he is affiliated with Hoffman White & Co. in Charlottesville. He received a BA from Wheaton College, an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business and an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Jennifer J. Beckman (Accountant)
Jennifer joined Beights Development Corporation in 2003. She received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After a number of years in box office and theatre management, she’s spent 15 years working with accounting for various types of companies including those focusing on commercial development.

Deborah L. Mitchell (Director of Marketing)
With more than 20 years experience in the construction, interior and exterior design of high-end residential and commercial projects, Deborah has focused her expertise on interior design, exterior renovation and landscape design. She owned antique shops and design firms in Virginia Beach and Middleburg, Virginia.

Seth J. VanHall (General Manager - Old Trail Golf Club)
Seth moved to Crozet, Virginia in 2004 from Kalamazoo, Michigan where he served as Head Golf Professional / General Manager for Heritage Glen Golf Club. He has over 15 years experience in all aspects of golf course operations and management. Seth and his wife Robin live in Crozet with their two girls.

Jeffrey D. Beeler (Golf Professional- Old Trail Golf Club)
Jeff was born and raised in Charlottesville, Va. He has over 8 years of experience in all aspects of golf. He attended Campbell University where he competed for the Camels and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Golf Management. Jeff lives with his wife and son live in Palmyra Virginia.

Jeffrey M. Thompson (Golf Course Superintendent)
Jeff has 22 years of golf course experience and 16 years as a golf course superintendent including three grow-ins for new golf courses. He graduated with a BS in agronomy in 1988 from Virginia Tech. Jeff and his wife Sandy live in Crozet with their two boys.

Thomas N. Sinclair (Parham Construction)
Tom has over 35 years of experience in the design and implementation of heavy construction and site development projects. He has participated in Virginia Department of Transportation road and bridge projects throughout Central Virginia; and has managed projects at the University of Virginia, the City of Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg, Fredericksburg, and Richmond. He has also managed privately funded residential, commercial and light industrial projects throughout Virginia. Tom is a graduate of the University of Virginia, with a degree in English. He served in an administrative capacity at Saunders Construction Company and was Vice President of Faulconer Construction prior to his current responsibilities at Old Trail, Mosby Mountain, and Mountain Valley Farms.
